Embrace Your Inner Goddess

WEAR YOUR INNER GODDESS

Diosa Divina, translated in English to The Divine Goddess, is a female clothing brand who are all about empowering women and expressing your femininity through your clothes and style. Expressing yourself is such a crucial part of fashion as well as life in general. Empowered women inspire each other, and we rise by lifting others. At Diosa Divina, this is the core belief behind the brand.

No matter who you are, what your style is, or what you believe in, it’s so important to embrace your true self and follow your calling. There’s no need to be exactly like everyone else – you should be true to you – and being different makes you stand out from the rest of the crowd. Empowered women are everywhere, celebrities, in business and in life in general. You don’t have to be a major success to the rest of the world to be empowered, you just need to be your own success.

SELF-LOVE AND SELF-ACCEPTANCE

Self-love and self-acceptance are at the heart of a strong, empowered woman, regardless of the beliefs she stands for. If you want to achieve your goals and reach your dreams, you have to start by loving and accepting yourself for who you really are. If you want to learn more about this, you’re in the right place.

To start, self-love is all about loving every aspect of your mind, your body and your soul. Especially in this day and age, we find it especially difficult to love certain parts of ourselves, but it’s so important to learn to let go of the critical, judgmental voice in your head. The voice which is always telling you that you’re not enough. You can’t fully love anyone else until you learn to love yourself. Self-acceptance is a similar concept, and the two intertwine to create a strong, empowered woman. Accepting yourself and all of your quirks is the idea of self-acceptance, and it can be seen as the journey to self-love. Before you learn to love an aspect of your life, you need to accept it, to see it as a strength, a unique trait, first. Much like self-love, self-acceptance can be a difficult concept for many women.

YOUR JOURNEY TO SELF-LOVE AND SELF-ACCEPTANCE

If you have a quirk or aspect of your life which you dislike, try this exercise. Start by thinking about everything you know about it – both positive and negative. This can be useful to understand why you dislike it or haven’t accepted it as part of your identity yet. (You may even want to write your original ideas down so you can keep track and also use them to track your progress.) The next step is to develop these ideas further by identifying why you feel these things – has someone said something before, is it something which you feel uncomfortable about? Although this step can make you open up your mind into a world of negativity, try to focus on the positives too. Learning to open up your mind to the positive side as well as the negative is another important step to self-love and self-acceptance. Once you have thought about each of these points, you may have already come up with solutions or accepted some already. For those which you are still struggling with, decide whether you should really hold onto a specific negative thought and try to think: does the good outweigh the bad?

Although this process can seem fast on paper, it’s important you don’t rush it. There are some things which will take longer to overcome or accept than others and that’s perfectly fine. By accepting that you need to take time, you have already made a healthy decision towards loving yourself. Huge transformations and revelations don’t just occur overnight, they take time. Allow yourself this time to develop and reflect on yourself.

Remember, it’s okay to change, but you should think about why you are making this decision. Is this something you really want or is it something that pleases other people? As tempting as it can be to do things for other people, you should never let that take over your life. Being friendly and doing things to help people is a good trait but doing everything for everyone else is unhealthy and can lead to burnout. Always take care of yourself before you take care of others; this doesn’t make you selfish, but it prevents looking after others from becoming an obsession.

YOUR UNIQUE STYLE

As mentioned before, style and fashion can say lots about a person. One of the best ways to express yourself is through your clothes. You may not have a specific style which you like yet, and that’s okay – lots of people don’t! Choose specific items of clothing which stand out to you. It doesn’t matter if your wardrobe doesn’t all follow the same style, you can have multiple personas. You don’t need to focus on following trends, either. Just like your lifestyle, your clothes don’t need to be chosen to fit what everyone else is wearing. Dress to impress yourself, not others. If you dress like everyone else and that isn’t your style, you are restricting yourself from truly expressing what you feel and your beliefs.

The phrase ‘wear your inner goddess’ is so powerful and says a lot about reflecting yourself within your style. Everyone has their inner goddess and she is wise, powerful and empowered. If you learn to wear your inner goddess, you’ll notice such a difference in your overall confidence and a boost in your self-esteem. When you feel good about what you are wearing and it reflects your true, inner style, it’s so much easier to love yourself for who you are.
